The latest figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show that the job outlook for management analysts—which includes business analysts (BAs)—is bright.
The projected growth between 2016 and 2026 is expected to hit 14%, a faster-than-average clip that will add more than 115,000 jobs to the economy.
What those statistics cannot account for, however, are today’s unprecedented competitive pressures and the pace of technological change that will only accelerate in an age dominated by artificial intelligence and machine learning. Many industries are already feeling the effects of this constant change.
